Hi, I am Ashley Barron.

I am a photographer located in Destin, FL.

Over the course of my life, I’ve held many titles, from a DNA analyst, biology instructor, soccer referee, Division 1 athlete, All-American soccer player, coach, therapy dog handler, wife, mother, and Army spouse. Through all of these, my passion for photography and love of photos has always been a constant presence. I love the way that a photo can elicit a wave of emotions, can flash you back to a moment decades ago, or transport you over thousands of miles.

When my husband was deployed in 2010, communication was poor and Skype calls or telephone calls were VERY rare.  Even though I knew he couldn’t respond often, I would send him a daily email of what my day was like, and he would reply whenever he could get the chance. While that was nice, the one constant during his deployment was mailing SD cards of photos to each other of what our lives looked like halfway around the world through the eye of a lens. And for a split second, I felt attached, and part of his daily life again. This feeling of being present in that instant, even from afar, is what I strive to capture each time I pick up my camera. I hope that I can capture this feeling for you and give you a sense of connection and affection in every frame I capture for you.
